7.30 Family History Evening at community hall, Lisvernane. Informal forum on the Glencush O’Briens and Aherlow in the 19th
& early 20th century. |
Tuesday

1.00 - 4.00 Open Day at Glencush. Pat and Joan O’Brien are our hosts at the
family ancestral cottage. Fr Joe O’Brien will say Holy Mass in the farmyard at 3pm -
weather permitting. |
8.00 onwards Get-together at ‘O’Brien’s’, Coach Road Inn, Aherlow with music
and song. |
Wednesday

10.00 Guided walk to summit of Galtymore with Ballyhoura Bears Walking
Club. (walking boots & appropriate clothing essential). Meet opposite
Church in Lisvernane at 10am (car share). |
2.00 Family walk in Aherlow Nature Park. Meet at statue of Christ The
King at 2pm. |
7.45 An evening of Irish
traditional music at the Tig Roy Irish Language & Cultural Centre,
Galbally. Meet opposite Church in Lisvernane at 7.45 (car share). |
Thursday

Golf match - time/venue to be arranged. |

6.00 Football match ‘Aherlow O’Briens’ v ‘Visitors’ followed by a barbecue at Caravansary Bar, Aherlow. |
Friday

10.00 - 4.00 Trip to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Co Clare. Meet opposite Church in Lisvernane at 10am (car share). |
